Vertiv Liebert APM Plus is a high-density, transformer-free modular UPS designed for mission-critical data centres, telecom infrastructure and other demanding applications. Scalable from 50 to 500 kW in 50 kW increments, it combines up to 97% double-conversion efficiency, hot-swappable modules, intelligent controls and compact row-or-room deployment.

Scalable High-Density UPS for Mission-Critical Power

Vertiv Liebert APM Plus is a three-phase, transformer-free modular UPS designed to provide conditioned power to medium and large-scale mission-critical infrastructure.

The architecture starts at 50 kW and scales in 50 kW increments. Vertiv offers 50–250 kW and 50–500 kW cabinet frames, with a single system reaching a maximum capacity of 500 kW.

FlexPower technology combines modular power capacity with independent DSP control at module level, enabling the system to regulate operation while retaining a scalable architecture.

In double-conversion mode, the UPS provides efficiency up to 97%. Eco Mode provides efficiency greater than 99%, while current Vertiv documentation separately identifies Dynamic Online Mode with efficiency up to 98.8%.

High-density 3U power modules allow significant power capacity to be integrated into a compact cabinet footprint suitable for both row and room applications.

Power modules and the bypass module use a hot-swappable architecture, supporting reduced replacement time for applicable modular components.

Robust internal airflow directs heated air towards heat sinks while conformal coating on PCBs provides additional protection against environmental conditions and corrosion.

The system operates without capacity impact at ambient temperatures up to 40°C and can continue operating at temperatures up to 50°C with automatic derating.
