Product Overview

Exide PowerSafe EHP Top Terminal Battery for Critical Backup

The Exide PowerSafe EHP Top Terminal Battery range is a premium series of sealed maintenance-free VRLA batteries developed for high-power backup applications in data centres, UPS installations and critical power infrastructure.

High energy density and specific power allow the EHP range to deliver increased power from a compact footprint when compared with conventional SMF battery designs.

Low internal resistance helps reduce power losses and supports rapid charge acceptance and superior high-rate discharge performance. Available models provide 15-minute power ratings from 390W to 730W at 1.67 volts per cell.

Absorptive Glass Mat separator technology holds the electrolyte within a low-resistance micro-porous glass fibre material. This sealed construction helps prevent acid leakage if the container is accidentally damaged.

Positive and negative plates use a lead-tin-calcium alloy designed to reduce gassing and self-discharge. Large terminal contact surfaces support efficient current flow to the connected UPS battery system.

Double-sealed terminals, a reinforced ribbed container and a self-regulating pressure-relief valve contribute to mechanical strength, electrical reliability and safe pressure management.
